Meet one of our Advisory Board members: Mads Grønnegaard-Kieler
Advisory board: Mads Grønnegaard-Kieler
October 3, 2023
"When prioritizing scarce societal resources, it is crucial that we have a clear picture of what value we expect a given effort to create - for the individual and for society as a whole,"

Mads Grønnegaard-Kieler is Head of Budget at Rigshospitalet and now also part of our Advisory Board. And in the healthcare sector, Mads believes that greater insight into the social value of treatment is needed if we are to make wise and sometimes difficult decisions.

"For example, there is a growing realization in the healthcare system that if we are to make wise, but also difficult, prioritization decisions in the future, then an increased insight into the value that a given treatment, diagnostics or other interventions create for the individual patient is a crucial piece," says Mads.
"I therefore think that the work initiated by Open Social Value Bank has many exciting perspectives. I look forward to both being inspired and contributing to the work."

At Open Social Value Bank, we are incredibly happy to have Mads on board. Of course, we also believe that there is a need for greater insight into social value when we as a society invest on a large scale, such as in healthcare.

It is important to us that OSVB becomes a user-friendly and understandable tool that decision-makers and social actors can actually use.

Here Mads shares our ambition:

"The ambition should be that OSVB is an attractive tool for actors in the social area to prioritize specific social initiatives. And at the same time, I hope that OSVB can contribute to the overall discussion of how we evaluate the value of initiatives in social, health or other welfare areas."

Welcome to the Advisory Board, Mads. We look forward to working with you!
